So do you want to learn a language?
To many, it might be a crisis to find oneself on a strange world, but for Legion... no, it's definitely still a crisis, just a really interesting one.
Their ship is reparable. They are stranded only temporarily.
More importantly: they are not alone.
The other being is of unknown species and origin. They lack the ability to verbalize, and do not write in any language known to the Geth. They not appear to have access to advanced technology of any sort.
They are also unafraid of them.
Though it is not their primary objective, the Geth seek understanding. They know many nonverbal forms of communication. They will attempt to teach these methods.
...Will the other respond? They attempt something simple, pointing to a nearby rock before curling their hands into fists and making the relevant sign.

[As for the sign, one could assume they seemed confused under that expressionless face. A slight headtilt as to what a fist had to do with a rock. Did...they want to punch it? Their hands seemed armored enough where it shouldn't be an issue. All the more likely it was probably something else, but can't really fathom what.]

Of course, just because it's interesting doesn't mean it's a particularly relevant detail. Far more important is Legion themselves, and their attempts to bridge the language gap between themselves and the knight. The confusion is ...disheartening. They let out an awkward little burst of clicky chatter, considering. It would be easier if they could explain, but they strongly doubt that this entity is likely to know any language common in Citadel space, or the languages of the Quarian Creators.
Perhaps additional examples will provide clarification?
Legion points to themself this time then, after a moment of consideration, makes another set of signs. It is ...atypical to choose ones own sign name, but they have no allies able to give them one.)
